Referees expenses increased, while appointed linemen to be paid

An increase for referees
Increased expenses for referees were ratified at last night’s meeting while linespersons who are appointed by the CCC will be paid €20 per match.
Referees expenses for senior and intermediate championship games will be €50 per game. All other grades €40 per game. Underage from U-13 up €40, (€20 each from both clubs).
Referees co-ordinator Frank Gallogly said it was important that each club in the county has a referee. He said if club had two referees it would ease the burden when it came to finding officials for games.
Gallogly praised chairman Peter O’Halloran for backing the initiative to pay appointed linesmen. “We will now have a standby referee for matches,” Gallogly said.
He also called on clubs to source new referees for the upcoming Referee Course which will take place at the end of the month.
