Former Mayo star Kevin McLoughlin has joined Sligo football manager Tony McEntee's backroom team as a forwards coach.
The move comes just two months after the Knockmore clubman brought the curtain down on his 15-year senior inter-county career. He fills the void left by Colm McFadden who has taken up a role in Jim McGuinness' management team.
McLoughlin got to know McEntee well during his three years as a Mayo selector from 2015 and '18. It's an exciting time for Sligo who won Division 4 of the Allianz League and reached the Connacht SFC final this year, while their U20s contested the All-Ireland final on the back of back-to-back Connacht title wins.
McEntee said he was looking forward to working with the former Mayo forward.
