Fermanagh manager Kieran Donnelly says he’s hoping that ace attacker Sean Quigley will be able to play some part in this weekend’s Tailteann Cup first round clash against Longford.

The Ernesiders travel to Glennon Brothers Pearse Park tomorrow to take on the Midlanders (throw-in 5.30pm) but have doubts over their star forward’s fitness.

The same groin injury which Quigley carried into the Ulster SFC opener against Tyrone last month is threatening the Roslea man’s participation against Longford and Donnelly says he is “a doubt” for this weekend.

“Sean (Quigley) is struggling and we’ll have to judge it this week at training,” he told BelfastLive.co.uk.

“He was carrying a niggle going into the Tyrone game. He is still a doubt at this stage and he is a massive player for us from a scoring point of view.

“We are hoping that we’ll be fit to play some part this weekend.”
