Na Piarsaigh are in danger of making an early exit from the Limerick SHC after suffering their second defeat in six days.

Beaten by Kilmallock in the first round, the All-Ireland club champions lost to Doon by 1-19 to 2-18 on Saturday, meaning they will need to win their remaining three group games to stay in the championship.

Barry Murphy's early goal helped Doon to a 1-9 to 0-9 half-time lead, but a Kevin Downes major just after the restart had Na Piarsaigh in front. However, their lead proved to be short-lived with a Darragh Stapleton goal paving the way for Doon's win.

Kilmallock continued their impressive form with a 4-17 to 0-16 defeat of South Liberties. Oisin O'Reilly and Graeme Mulcahy scored two goals apiece for the 2014 champions.

Elsewhere, Alan O'Connor posted 0-11 as Ballybrown walloped Bruree 4-25 to 2-9, while Adare were 1-16 to 0-13 winners over Ahane. Cian Lynch was among the goals as Patrickswell accounted for Bruff on a 3-26 to 1-11 scoreline, while Padraic Barron's late point from a sideline earned newly-promoted Knockainey a 1-15 to 0-18 draw with Murroe-Boher.
