St. Patrick's GAA Club Notes

Congratulations to our five all star award winners who were honoured last Friday evening at the City G.A.A. sport stars award night held at the South Court hotel. Our intermediate footballer Niall Phelan won the City Intermediate football award and Patrick Mullins won the City Junior A hurling award. Our Limerick Post All Stars award winners were in minor premier football Eoin Hanrahan in Intermediate football championship was Tony Quigley and in Junior A hurling championship Wayne Cronin. Also honoured on the night were four past club players John McDonagh, Jimmy Guinane, Pat Doyle and Paddy Cobbe who were part of the Limerick minor all Ireland hurling team who defeated Galway by 5-08 to 3-10 in the final. A great night was had by all club members who also went to the banquet. On the playing field our under 13 footballers were beaten by Abbey Sarsfields 3-04 to 1-00 on a very wet Saturday we were short players on the day but many thanks to the players and mentors who showed up our next match is against Ballybrown in two weeks time a victory here won put us back into the league knockout stages. Our under 21 hurling championship ¼ final game against Blackrock was postponed due to the bad weather and will be refixed for this weekend please contact secretary Eamonn Phelan for time ane venue. Our indoor hurling training continues every Friday evening at 7.30pm in the C.B.S. Hall Sexton Street any young boys or girls age from 5,6,7,8,9, and 10 years of age are welcome to attend.
