Limerick made it four wins from four in the Allianz Hurling League tonight after edging Tipperary by 0-26 to 3-16 at Pairc Ui Chaoimh.

The All-Ireland champions trailed by the minimum (1-7 to 0-9) at the break after Jason Forde found their net from close range on the half-hour mark.

After the turnaround, John Kiely’s charges moved through the gears and struck 0-17 from 24 shots to kick on for a deserved victory in this derby down in Cork.

Aaron Gillane (0-8), Diarmaid Byrnes and Donnacha O’Dalaigh were among those to the fore for the Treaty men during the second period, and they could even afford to ship goals from Patrick ‘Bonner Maher’ and Jake Morris (watch below) during the closing quarter and still clinch the points.
