St. Kieran’s GAA

Charity Road Hurling 2020

Many thanks to all of you who so generously contributed to our GoFundMe page this Christmas in aid of Milford Care Centre, Pieta House and the Irish Cancer Society (daffodil nurses, NCW). Since 2016, St. Kieran’s GAA club have raised over €12,000 for local charities through the annual road hurling on December 27th. The event has become a great social occasion while raising funds for good causes. Along with all the hurlers that participate, over the last number of years, many walkers walk the route at the same time in support of the fundraiser. This is fantastic to see.

Unfortunately like many other events in 2020 our road hurling event fell foul to Covid 19 restrictions and we were unable to proceed with the event as normal. Alas this has not prevented the local community from expressing their generosity and we are grateful to see so many people make valuable donations to our chosen charities.
The GoFundMe page will be live until this Thursday for anybody who still wishes to make a donation. Thank you all for your continued support and we look forward to recommencing our road hurling event once again on December 27, 2021
