The Limerick Senior Hurling Management team has announced their panel and Captain for the upcoming Allianz hurling leagues.

Limerick Ladies Gaelic footballers got their National Football League Division 4 campaign off to a flying start last Sunday 3rd February playing Carlow at home in Dr. Cullen Park Limerick leading by 3-07 to 0-01 at half-time but ran out easy winners by 8-26 to Carlow 0-01. The team and scorers were as follows, Tina Giltenane, Gemma O'Dwyer, Alva Neary, Janet Garvey, Aoife Meaney, Yvette Moynihan, Emma McGuire (Captain), Michelle Norris, Kathryn Fahy, Paula Donnelly, Niamh Richardson, Mai Kenneally, Stephanie Carroll, Claire O'Riordan and Amy Breen. Subs used: Clodagh Reidy, Dymphna O'Brien and Sarah Downey. Scorers were Dymphna O'Brien (4-09), Amy Breen (2-05), Stephanie Carroll (1-03), Niamh Richardson (1-00), Michelle Norris (0-03), Katherine Fahy (0-02), Claire O'Riordan (0-02), Paula Donnelly (0-01) and Sarah Downey (0-01). Next up for Limerick is a home game against Derry on Sunday 10th February.
Shane Hourigan of St. Mary's/SeanFinn's Club in Rathkeale Co. Limerick as been appointed to referee the Waterford Crystal Cup final between Tipperary and Clare it will take place on this Saturday February 9th at 7.30pm in Semple Stadium Thurles and then on Sunday Shane is out again when he will take in charge of the AIB G.A.A. Hurling All Ireland Intermediate Club Championship. Final in Croke Park at 3.45pm against St Gabriels (London) v Clara (Kilkenny).
Ard Scoil Ris played out an exciting 1-11 to 0-14 draw with Our Lady's Templemore in the semi-final of the Harty Cup in Nenagh last Sunday afternoon. The Limerick senior football took on FBD Connacht football league winners Leitrim last Sunday in the Limerick Gaelic Ground and came away with a victory of 0-11 to 0-09. Manager Maurice Horan and his selectors were very happy with performance of his side especially after losing Ger Collins and Ian Ryan just before throw in. But the replacements of James O Meara and Ian Corbett did themselves proud. Paudie Browne (Fr. Casey's) was the captain on the day. Limerick scorers were Eoghan O Connor (0-08) (6frees) Stephen Lavin (0-01) James O Meara (0-01) and Paul Kinnerk (0-01). Limerick lined out as follows, Brian Scanlan (Gerald Griffin's), Cian Coady (Na Piarsaigh), Johnny McCarthy (St. Kieran's), Mark O'Riordan (Croom), Stephen Lavin (Adare), Paudie Browne (Fr. Sub used in the second half were Darragh Treacy (St. Kieran's) for Ian Corbett and Paul Kinnerk (Monaleen) for Thomas Lee. Other panel members were Donal O'Sullivan (Monaleen), Mike O'Keeffe (Newcastle West), Damien Quaid (St. Mary's/Sean Finns), Stephen Lucey (Croom) Lorcan O'Dwyer (Pallasgreen) and Sean Sheehan (St. Mary's/Sean Finns) Ger Collins (Monaleen) and Ian Ryan (St. Senan's) Limerick are now off to a great start and with Offaly away next Sunday in Tullamore let's hope we can continue the winning ways.
At the Woodlands House Hotel last Friday evening February 1st members of the Limerick Un.14 football team of 2012 were presented with their runners-up medals for the Jim Power Tournament 2012. Special guest on the night was current Limerick senior footballer John Riordan. John spoke and encouraged the players to build on the progress they had made in 2012. He said 10 years ago he won a Jim Power Tournament Medal and since then has played at all grades for Limerick. Invited guests Sean McAuliffe (Chairman Football committee), Eamon Phelan (PRO Co. Board), Michael O'Riordan (Secretary Co. Board), Tony Roche (Chairman Co. Bord na nOg), Noel Hartigan (Co Games Manager) all spoke and congratulated the team and their parents for their commitment during the year. Michael Fitzgibbon spoke on behalf of the team management for 2013 and briefly outlined some of their plans for the coming months. Limerick County Un.15 football selectors for 2013 are Michael Fitzgibbon, Michael McMahon, James O'Donnell and Paddy Ivess.
The draws for the Griffin's Coaches County Intermediate Football Championship and the Irish Wire Products County Senior Football Championship will take place at the meeting of Coiste Peil Contae Luimni on this Wednesday 6th February in Fitzgerald's Woodlands House Hotel, Adare. The meeting will commence at 8pm.
Limerick G.A.A. is delighted to announce the partnership with Hyundai and the Limerick Motor Centre Ballysimon Rd Limerick in sponsoring the County Senior Hurling Championship. The championship will be now known as the Hyundai Limerick Motor Centre County Senior Hurling Championship. The Draw for this year's Hyundai Limerick Motor Centre County Senior Hurling Championship will take place at their state of the art showrooms on the Ballysimon on February 12th at 8pm by Pat O Mara Owner and Hyundai MD Stephen Gleeson. It will be broadcast Live on Limericks Live 95fm at 8pm.
The launch of the 2013 Limerick G.A.A. Club Draw Brochure took place in the Woodlands House Hotel Adare last Thursday evening 31st January. The Draw Brochure was launched by John Allen Limerick Senior Hurling Manager and Maurice Horan Limerick Senior Football Manager.
"Friends of Limerick Football Car Sticker 2013" is now available for €10. All monies go directly towards the preparation of Limerick Underage Football Development Squads for 2013. With the purchase of each sticker you will be entered into a draw for 2 All-Ireland Football Final tickets.
