Leitrim's Emlyn Mulligan
Emlyn Mulligan has been named as Leitrim's 2012 Footballer of the Year.

The Melvin Gaels clubman put two years of injury hell behind him is stunning style as he enjoyed a tremendous season with both club and county. Such was his influence for Leitrim, that he is probably one of the most clear-cut winners of the county player of the year gong in recent memory.

His clubmate Brendan Brennan is senior club player of the year, while Darren Duignan (Gortletteragh) and Conor Guckian (Leitrim Gaels) pick up the intermediate and junior club player awards.

Kevin McGrath (Gortletteragh) is Leitrim county Hurler of the Year and Michael Poniard (Cluainin Iomaint) is club hurler of the year.

Allen Gaels legend Jim Lynch will pick up the Hall of Fame honour when the awards are presented in The Bush Hotel on Friday night, January 25th.
