Leitrim have brought an ignominious end to the Allianz National Football League season by awarding a walkover to London this weekend.

The rescheduled game, which had been postponed on its original date due to an unplayable pitch in Ruislip, was due to have taken place this weekend.

However, London GAA have announced that the game has been cancelled, with Leitrim giving the Exiles a walkover.

The game was meaningless, with both sides long since out of the running for promotion and London already assured of a place in the bottom two following just one win from their seven games. Tweet
