Senior Championship

On Sat next at 5.30 pm the seniors will face Gortletteragh in the quarter final of the senior championship in Avant Money Pairc Seán. This will be a hard battle, but these lads take nothing for granted so good support will be a great help.

Junior A Championship

Well done to the second string that had a comprehensive win over Annaduff on Sat last in the Junior A championship at Pairc Philib. The scorers for Mohill were F McGuinness 3-1, R Gordon 0-7, D Gordon 1-1, E Harkin 1-0, K Curran 0-3, C Quinn 0-2, T Mulligan, S McGowan, C Mulligan 0-1 apiece.

Junior C Championship

Great to see our old reliable players out for the Junior C. They were joined for the first round by returned players who for different reasons had taken breaks from football.  We also had young lads playing who are just out of minor grade. They all played well and had a good win over Aughavas on Sunday afternoon. The panel was: S Moran, S Kilrane, F Cassells, K Reilly, K Kilrane 0-1, C Kennedy, J Reynolds 0-1, C McGuinness, R Murphy 0-2, N Flynn 0-1, K Curran 0-1, C Beirne 0-4, J Armstrong, J Cosgrove 0-1, D Wynne 1-0, J Tighe, S McGourty.

Mohill Ladies

The girls played a very strong Ballinamore in Mohill on Sunday morning. Ballinamore won well but Mohill played their hearts out and no one can fault their dedication.

Under17 Div 2 & 3

This panel of boys had two great wins last week. The Div 2 beat a fancied Leitrim Gaels in a thriller in Cloone and the second team overcame a young Annaduff side. They play again this week on Monday and Tuesday.

Under 15

The U15 boys played the quarter final of the championship against Carrick in Mohill on Thursday. St Mary’s bombarded the goals in the first few minutes and led by 7 points. Mohill upped their game and a mere 4 points separated the teams at half time. They kept up the pressure and led by 3 at the last water break but Carrick scored 2-1 in the last quarter to win by four. We congratulate Carrick but the lads were very disappointed as that ended their campaign A big thank you to all who coached and helped out in difficult times Ciaran Walpole, Ronan Gordon, Gerry Kilrane, Padraig Browne, Ciaran Baxter and Ger Walpole who looks after all the underage physio.
