Fenagh St Caillins club notes

Connacht Gold SFC - Fenagh St Caillins hosted Aughawillan on Saturday evening last in Pairc Sean O'Laodain in round 3 of this year's championship. Fenagh started brightly and led by 9 points to 4 at half time but Aughawillan were reinvigorated in the second half and forced a deserved draw. Final score Fenagh St Caillins 0.13, Aughawillan 1.10. This Saturday evening Fenagh play their final group game when they travel to play Allen Gaels in Shane McGettigan Park at 6.30pm.

 

Corrib Oil Junior B Championship - the Fenagh St Caillins second string began their junior B campaign in Kinlough on Sunday afternoon last an exciting battle finished all level, Fenagh St Caillins 2.06, Melvin Gaels 0.12. They play Leitrim Gaels in their next outing on September 12th. 

 

Newtowngore Engineering u17 Championship - on Monday evening last our u17's travelled to take on Drumkeeran. Having lost out to them by a single point at home two weeks earlier the lads were determined to avenge that game and they duly delivered with a great performance winning by 2.15 to 2.08. They play Annaduff in the next round on 13th September. 

 

Westlink Coaches u15 Championship - on Thursday evening next Fenagh St Caillins u15's host MacDiarmada Gaels in the semi final of this years championship. The game is at 7pm in Pairc Sean O'Laodain. Please come along and support the team. 

 

Barna Waste u13 Championship - Well done to Fenagh St Caillins u13's who completed their championship campaign with a 13.13 to 3.07 win over Drumkeeran. Despite being tight on numbers they performed really well, improving as the games progressed. Thanks to their coaches, Val Hargaden, Mike Mullins, Caillin O'Rourke and Fergal McLoughlin for the work they put in with them.

 

Sympathies - Fenagh St Caillins Gaa Club wish to express our sympathies to the family of the late Willie O'Beirne, Whiterock, Aughoo who passed away recently. Willie played wing back on the Fenagh team which won the Leitrim junior league in 1966. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam dílis.
