Club Notes 8th Aug 2021.   

 

2021 Connacht Gold Senior Championship: 

Our Senior championship kicked off last weekend when we took on Melvin Gaels at home in the first round on Saturday evening. The first half of play saw some good football up and down the field from both sides and some well taken scores from play albeit the greater number of scores coming from frees. At the half-time whistle there was little between the sides with a score of 1-06 to Melvin Gaels and 0-08 to Gortletteragh. The second half saw Melvin Gaels outscore us by 8 points to 2 leaving a final scoreline of 1-14 to 0-10.  It was a good battling performance by the lads in our first game back in the senior ranks, one we can hopefully build on. Next game is w/e 21st August.  

 

2021 Masonite Reserve League Div 3 Final: 

Last Sunday we travelled to St Osnat’s grounds to meet St Patrick’s Dromahair in the 2021 Reserve League Div 3 Final – unfortunately success wasn’t to be ours on the day – well done the team and management for their time and effort in this competition. Final score was St Patrick’s Dromahair 3-12, Gortletteragh 1-02.

Keeldra Gaels U14 Final Success: 

Congratulations to the U14 Keeldra Gaels ladies team and management on their Shield Final victory over Annaduff last week. Well done to all involved.

Rinn Gaels U13’s play St Joseph’s in Aughavas on Thursday 12th August at 7pm.  

 

U13’s Div 2: 

Rinn Gaels U13’s play Fenagh in Gortletteragh on Friday 13th August at 7pm.
