Mohill

Maureen Rowley RIP

In the last six months many much loved residents of Mohill town have passed away and last weekend, yet another jewel was added to that list, Maureen Rowley was mother of the club officer Geraldine Walpole. Maureen had a cross to bear when she lost her only son in 2017, Cormac was a former Mohill footballer and he died after a battle with cancer. Her great faith kept her going and since then she took great pride in the progress of her three young grandsons, Cillian, Rian and Conal at underage level for Mohill.  Maureen was a Ballyconnell woman and she was so happy in November when her beloved Cavan won the Ulster Final after 23 yrs.  We commiserate with all her close and extended family, Maureen endeared herself to young and old and will be sorely missed in our town. 50 Mile Fundraiser

Congratulations to everyone at home and abroad who walked in January to support Leitrim’s county teams. There was a large amount raised by the walkers and among them many Mohillians. We look forward to some good days out supporting those teams when we get our vaccines.
