Gortletteragh club notes

January 06, 2021

Happy New Year:

Happy New Year to all our members, players, supporters and entire community at home and away. We wish everyone a safe, healthy and enjoyable 2021.

Step Challenge:

Get the new year off to an active start and join the ‘Every Step Counts Challenge’ which will starts on January 6th, 2021 and will run over eight weeks until March 3rd, mirroring the GAA’s Ireland Lights Up walking initiative that runs each year in conjunction with Operation Transformation. The rules of engagement are simple:

Join our club team on the MyLife App (see full instructions below)

As a club, walk a combined total of 4,000km (the equivalent of a trip around the coast of Ireland) to be entered into a draw in your province to win a €2,500, €1,500, or €1,500 O’Neill’s credit vouchers.

The ‘Every Step Counts Challenge’ will enhance this year’s Ireland Lights Up walking initiative by providing people with the opportunity to record all their steps throughout the day. Updates on the Steps Challenge will feature on RTE’s hit show Operation Transformation.

Irelands Fittest Family – local interest:

Congratulations and well done to Madeline Creegan Doyle and her family, Ben, Emily and Molly in their effort to be “Ireland’s Fittest Family” last Sunday evening. Unfortunately after a magnificent first round performance they were knocked out in the eliminator, ye did us proud.
