Leitrim Through to Championship Semi Final!!
A massive well done to all of the Leitrim players, especially our own players, who were in action on Sunday gone Ruislip where they took on Londain. Its been great to see so many Ballinamore men involved in the panel and to see Dean starting and scoring the opening point along with Shane and Wayne coming on as a sub, next up it's the neighbours the Rossies and hopefully another win. Leitrim Abu !
Cill Mhòr Gaels are Under 15 League Champions 2017.
Congratulations to our Under 15 boys, together with our friends and comrades from Kiltubrid - on winning the 15 aside league final in Carrick on Monday evening.
Against a very strong and impressive St. Marys team, our boys rose to the challenge and put in a massive performance to win on a scoreline of 16 points to 13.
As a contest it was epic; end to end football at a ferocious pace, with never more than a kick of the ball in it. The quality of attacking & defensive football from both teams was a joy to watch, including some great saves by both goalkeepers.
We had many great performances all over the field including that of our captain Senan Harte, but special mention must go to Paul Moran on a magnificent display up front, while also our goalkeeper Aidan McCormack kept us in the game on several occasions with some amazing saves.
Full Panel:
Aidan McCormack, Eoin Hamill, Eoghan Shanley, Jason Beirne, Eoin Curran, Senan Harte (C), Aaron McBrien, Barry McWeeney, James Honeyman, Conall Doyle, Paul Moran, Danny McWeeney, Michael McKiernan, Dillon Easterbrook, Euan McManus, Seamus Wisley, Mark McCaffrey, Caillian Murphy, Patrick Wrynn, Ryan Morris, Dillon Gavin, Kuba Kaminski, Fiachra McGrath, Oisin McCarthy, Danny O'Brien, Iarlaith O'Brien, Mikey Reilly, Eoin Connachton.
U14 Girls
Well done the u14 girls
The u14 girls won again on Saturday when they took on Carrick on Shannon in away in Carrick. The final score was 3 14 to 1-2. A great team with five out of five wins so far this year which is a great result for the young players and also their mentors and family's that support them.
Monday evening the u14 girls were in action again and notched up another brilliant win to make it 6 out of 6 against Keeldra Gaels which they won by a score of 11.5to 3:11
U8 / U10 Blitz Thank You
A big thank you to all the players, coaches, parents and supporters that were in the pairc on Saturday for our first blitz. It was great to see so many of you there despite the bad weather supporting all the u8 and u10 players from Ballinamore, Aughnasheelin and Garadice Gaels. There was a great deal of skill and determination on show from all the young players and it was great to see them all putting their practice into action.
Next up for the U8/u10 will be another Blitz on Saturday 10:00 if all players can please attend at 950 to be ready for the throw in
Comhbhrón
It is with great sadness that we hear about the passing of the late John Geary Cornagher, Cloone. John was a native of Tullow Waterford but on his return from England he settled in Cornagher, Cloone, with his late wife Kathleen. Kathleen was first cousin of Mary Cassidy hence the reason he settled in Leitrim. John Geary and Mary Cassidy played music for Ballinamore Sean O Heslins set dancers from the mid 80' to the mid 90's. They both had the honour of playing the only time our Scor na nÓg set dancers got to the All Ireland in Thurles.
John will be deeply missed by all those that knew him, everyone at the club would like to pass on our deepest sympathies to all his family and friends

Oughteragh Gaels
Well done to the ladies !!!
Oughteragh Gaels 9-10 Annaduff 9-3
Well done to our second team who finished off their debut league campaign with a brilliant 7 point win over a strong Annaduff side in what was a compelling contest throughout - one that didn't lack for goals, either, with 18 being scored across the hour!
We were behind by 4 points (3-7 to 6-2) at half-time despite dominating long spells but the ladies responded in fine style during the second half and rattled off 6-3, whilst also shoring up the defense significantly. Overall, it was an excellent game and we look forward to meeting Annaduff in the Championship.
Standout performers included Gracie Reilly who was excellent in the full-back line, whilst Maeve Hamill had a tremendous game all over the pitch. Joely McGovern did a brilliant job at wing-back, as did Michaela Harte at full-forward, and our captain on the day, Laoise Moran King, led by example in the middle of the park, putting in a tireless display both offensively and defensively, and preventing a number of goal chances to boot.
Emma McGovern and Ciara O'Dowd performed to their usual high levels in midfield, scoring 1-3 & 1-2 respectively, whilst the club's top scorer, Siobhan Earley, came on at half-time to add no less than four goals to her seasonal tally - which now reads 8-11. Ciara McGoldrick also popped up with 2-2 and has scored 8-4 in just three-and-a-half games since returning from injury. Megan Cull also had a great game, scoring 1-1 and impressing throughout.
It was brilliant to end our opening campaign with a second team in victory and across the six matches, we've had no less than 30 different players togging out, with a further 13 restricted to the first team only. The girls deserve immense credit and hopefully all of their hard work will be rewarded come Championship time (and, indeed, the Div 2 Final!).
Team: Aoibheann Boyle, Grace Wrynn, Gracie Reilly, Maeve Hamill (0-1), Abbi Sweeney, Joely McGovern, Ciara O'Dowd (1-2), Emma McGovern (1-3), Laoise Moran King, Ciara McGoldrick (2-2), Aoife McCartin (0-1), Megan Cull (1-1), Michaela Harte.
Subs Used: Siobhan Earley (4-0), Grainne Prior, Aoibhin McGoldrick, Tara Fitzpatrick (0-1), Julie Reynolds.
