Westmeath LGFA are on the lookout for a new county senior football manager following the decision of Michael Finneran to step down after two years in charge.

The Lake ladies endured a difficult year in 2022 which saw them relegated from Division 1 of the league and demoted to the All-Ireland intermediate championship.

Westmeath's hopes of a quick return to the senior ranks were dashed when they made their exit from the All-Ireland IFC with a quarter-final defeat to Clare back in July.

Meanwhile, Finneran's native Roscommon, whom he previously managed for four seasons, have departed ways with manager Ollie Lennon.
