A Limerick club has saluted 62-year-old Pauline McCarthy after she scored 1-2 in last Sunday's LGFA county junior 'B' final.

Pauline proved that age is just a number when she inspired St Ailbes to a 1-6 to 0-4 victory over Dromcollogher-Broadford in Croom. She played for Limerick in an All-Ireland senior camogie championship final 41 years ago and is still going strong in both codes, with a county junior 'B' camogie semi-final still to come next weekend.

"Our very own legend," is how St Ailbes described her in a Facebook post.
