The newly-formed East Belfast Ladies Gaelic Football team had their first ever game against Saval.

The newly-formed East Belfast Ladies Gaelic Football team had their first ever game on Saturday evening in the beautiful County Down countryside against Saval.

34 players from diverse backgrounds made the journey and they all took part in an entertaining game. The scores were level at half-time and captain Kate Crozier was delighted.

‘We did well, there were some very good scores, we didn’t give up and it was good just to get a run out on a proper full pitch’.

Rugby player Caoimhe Lynch, newbie Chloe Martin and Helen McKenna from Tyrone all feature on this report by Jerome Quinn.
