'They know how to win'

Eoin Cody is under no illusions about the task facing Kilkenny in tomorrow’s Allianz Hurling League semi-final against Limerick.

The Cats have suffered at the hands of the five-in-a-row chasing All-Ireland champions in recent years, so a win at SuperValu Páirc Uí Chaoimh would give them a huge psychological boost.

"I suppose they know how to win,” the Ballyhale Shamrocks forward told gaa.ie at this week’s All-Ireland U20HC launch in UPMC Nowlan Park.

“They're a physical side, big men and the way they hurl is second to none. Their skill, their use of the ball and maybe their intelligence and the way they train and stuff is just brilliant.

“They can go short, they can go long, they can do it whatever way they want. It's no problem for them.

"They know how to win and get over the line. Regardless of how well they play, they still manage to get over the line in the end."
