Croke Park is set to host this year’s Leinster club senior football championship semi-finals, as well as the province’s senior hurling club final on the weekend before Christmas.

Both of the football clashes are scheduled for Saturday, December 18th, with throw-in times still to be confirmed, while the provincial hurling final will take place at headquarters the following day at 1.30pm.

It was decided on Tuesday night that Croker would be used as the stadium’s playing surface offers certainty for fixtures in the late time of year.

The Leinster club football competition commences with three first round fixtures on November 21st, with hurling quarter-finals taking place a week later.

The Leinster club senior football final has been pencilled in for January 9th with a venue yet to be confirmed for the decider.
