Finuge get their medals
May 20, 2005
Finuge's All-Ireland winning footballers were presented with their All-Ireland medals at a special function in the Listowel Arms on Friday May 20.
The team made history when streaking to All-Ireland junior club championship glory earlier this year, having won last year's county JFC in impressive fashion. They also reached the 2005 North Kerry senior championship final.
GAA President Sean Kelly was on hand to present the medals to the all-conquering All-Ireland junior club champions at the well-attended presentation dinner.
The President congratulated the team on their outstanding achievement of winning the inaugural All-Ireland club competition, while club chairman Aidan Galvin and manager Maurice Leahy also paid tribute to the players.
They could be a force in this year's intermediate championship.
