REIGNING All-Ireland and Connacht club champions, Kilkerrin-Clonberne, booked their place in the provincial decider with a 3-13 to 0-7 win over Leitrim’s Glencar Manorhamilton at the weekend.
Niamh Divilly and Louise Ward converted two goals in the opening half, which the fourteen-time Galway champions led by 2-6 to 0-3. A third goal by Ailish Morrissey early in the second half secured the team’s ninth successive Connacht final berth.
Kilkerrin-Clonberne will face Knockmore in the Connacht final as the Mayo champions overcame Roscommon’s Boyle in a tight battle on Sunday afternoon. Clodagh Keane hit the only goal of the game for the Mayo champions as they won on a tight 1-8 to 0-10 scoreline.
In the Connacht intermediate club final, Tuam Cortoon of Galway were crowned champions, defeating Padraig Pearses in the final. The Connacht junior champions are St Brigid’s from Leitrim who overcame Shamrock Gaels from Sligo.
In the Ulster club championship, reigning champions St Ergnats Moneyglass powered to the provincial with a 6-20 to 1-5 win over Derry’s Steelstown Brian Og. Maria O’Neill was on target for the Antrim side as they look to retain their Ulster title.
Monaghan’s Donaghmoyne booked the second spot in the Ulster senior decider, their first final berth since 2022, when they accounted for Cavan’s Knockbride at St Bridget’s Park. Cora Courtney hit the net twice while there were also goals for Aoife Burns and Rosemary Courtney in their 4-8 to 1-8 win.
In the Leinster club championship, reigning champions Kilmacud Crokes recorded a convincing win over Louth champions Naomh Padraig to book their place in their fifth successive provincial decider. Niamh Cotter converted 2-5 for the reigning champions as they lead by 0-8 to 0-2 at the break. Michelle Davoren and Amy Conroy also found the net as they ran out 4-18 to 0-5 winners.
Kilmacud will face Longford Slashers in the Leinster decider after their 5-12 to 0-11 victory over Wicklow’s Tinahely. Two goals from Clodagh Lohan and one each from Grace Shannon and Jessica Barry in the first half put the Longford champions into the driving seat at the break, 4-3 to 0-6. A tougher second half, but the fifth goal from Kara Shannon booked the eight-time Longford champions a place in the provincial decider.
