Oisin Maunsell struck for 2-4 as Abbeydorney claimed their third Kerry senior hurling championship title in-a-row with a dominant display against St Brendan’s in Tralee this afternoon.

The holders’ 3-16 to 1-12 victory at Austin Stack Park saw them hitting the front with a Michael Slattery goal in the 16th minute and they’d net again through Maunsell in the very next attack.

Nathan O'Driscoll and Liam Óg O'Connor got points back for St Brendan’s, but scores from Michael O’Leary and Mikey Clifford saw their opponents towards a 2-7 to 0-6 lead at the interval.

Niall O'Mahoney and O’Leary helped to stretch the Abbeydorney lead in the third quarter and Maunsell’s second goal made it 3-12 to 0-8 in the 47th minute.

Seamus O'Halloran netted a consolation goal for St Brendan’s in the 58th minute, with skipper O’Leary rounding off the winning tally thanks to a free in injury-time as Abbeydorney sealed their seventh Neilus Flynn Cup success.
