Steven Joyce says Galway are "improving all the time" ahead of their All-Ireland MFC final clash with Kerry.

The Tribesboys go into Sunday's decider at Croke Park as rank outsiders but their manager points out that they have become increasingly confident in their ability:

"Kerry have been very impressive, especially against Kildare in the semi-final," the Clonbur clubman told The Tuam Herald. "Once they got on top, they drove on, although Kildare died in the match.

"They are gunning for three in a row and the word since the start of the year was that this is the best team of the three. They are red-hot favourites and they have been putting up huge tallies, but we're hopeful that our best performance will have us there or thereabouts.

"I believe we're improving all the time. We only played in patches against Roscommon, Mayo and Laois but our semi-final against Donegal was our best performance, so it's building up as the championship has progressed.

"The team has become more confident. I suppose the more you play and the more matches you win, the more confident you get."
