The 2024 Connacht U20FC got off to an exciting start last evening when Roscommon and Mayo fought out a thrilling 1-13 to 3-7 draw at Dr Hyde Park.

 Mayo led 3-3 to 1-6 at half-time thanks to goals from Niall Hurley, Finbarr McLoughlin and Darragh Beirne, but the hosts rallied in the second half and grabbed a share of the spoils through man of the match Shane McGinley, who finished with 1-5 to his credit.

There was a winning start for Galway in Duggan Park, Ballinasloe. Derek Savage's men accounted for Leitrim on a 2-16 to 0-13 scoreline with Jack Folan and Matthew Thompson netting in either half and Colm Costello contributing 0-10.
