Johnny Glynn has made a sensational return to the Galway senior hurling squad.

Galway Bay FM is reporting that the 2017 All-Ireland SHC winner, who last played for the Tribesmen in 2019, has rejoined Henry Shefflin's squad after returning home from abroad.

The towering forward has lined out for the New York footballers in recent years and was part of the side that recorded an historic Connacht SFC victory over Leitrim last year following a dramatic penalty shootout in Gaelic Park. He transferred back to his home club Ardrahan last summer and played in the Galway SHC.

It's been quite the week for comebacks, with Marty Clarke also returning to the Down football fold after a 13-year absence.
