The Division 1 meeting of Armagh and Galway is one of three Allianz Football League games that will clash directly with the Ireland v England Six Nations Rugby game on Saturday evening.

The game at the BOX-IT Athletic Grounds, along with the Carlow v Sligo and Waterford v London fixtures in Division 4, will throw-in at 5pm, the exact same time as Ireland will seek to win only their fourth-ever Gram Slam at the Aviva Stadium. The Armagh v Galway tie was originally scheduled for 2pm, but was switched to accommodate live TV coverage.

Needless to say, many supporters aren't happy with the clash which will undoubtedly have an impact on attendances at the Allianz League games. The Division 3 game between Tipperary and Offaly in Thurles was originally fixed for 6pm, but has now been brought forward to 2pm, but the clash of Fermanagh and Westmeath in the same division in Ederney stays at 6pm.
