Galway booked their place in the last four of the All-Ireland minor football championship after defeating 14-man Dublin at O'Connor Park this afternoon.

After a six-point loss to Mayo in the Connacht final six days ago, Alan Glynn's young guns bounced back to overcome the Dubs by 0-10 to 0-7 in Tullamore.

Both sides enjoyed fruitful periods in the first-half, Dublin hit the first four points from Pierce Donohue (2), Luke O’Boyle and Joe Quigley, but it was Galway who took a 0-5 to 0-4 lead into the break, with Fionn O'Connor splitting the posts twice.

Quigley levelled matters on the resumption before his third point put the Leinster champions 0-5 to 0-6 ahead, however, the game then unravelled badly for Dave Reynolds' side as they lost wing-forward O'Boyle to a straight red card on 40 minutes.

All the momentum was with Galway now, as they outscored their opponents five points to one from there, while the winners also finished with one player less after Eanna Monaghan received his marching orders from referee David Murnane near the end.
