Galway to carry Aer Arann logo ... for now

The Galway footballers will continue to sport the Aer Arann logo - despite the fact that the flight operator has ended its sponsorship deal.
The arrangement had been due to last until the end of 2012 but was terminated late last year when the airline entered the examinership process after sustaining severe financial losses.
The Galway County Board has yet to find a new sponsor for the coming year, and have opted against producing sponsor-free jerseys for the start of the Allianz National Football League this weekend.
Instead, the Aer Arann logo will remain a fixture for the time being, with county officials said to be hopeful to find a new sponsor in the coming weeks.
Galway make the trip to Monaghan on Sunday afternoon for their first league game under new manager Tomas O Flatharta.
