Replying To brayballer:  "Good point about a long run.Kerry found out that with Dinle last year.Cant see Mannion coming back but I suppose he has done it twice before. He would be a huge boost for Dublin."
Exactly - our most important and best player Con, and probably our best newbie in quite a while in Charlie…

Although, if I was a Cuala man, my priorities would be with the club…. ;o)

And Eoin Kennedy also - 1st cousin of Mick Fitz btw.
So that is 4 Dublin starters.

Ger was at the game and is sure to invite a couple of other Cuala lads into the Dublin training setup at some point.

Replying To Fionn:  "As much as I would love to see that happen, Con and the other Dublin players from Cuala, could be goosed by the time they come back to play for the Dubs, with the shortened inter county season.

With Crokes gone, perhaps Paul will have a change of heart and return for us.??? Here's hoping….! ;o)"
With 13 teams still left in the Leinster club football championship Cuala are 4/9 to win it.

Would tend to agree with your point about having an extended run in the club championship can possibly have a negative impact on the county team's championship hopes. In last years All Ireland club final; Paul Geaney, Tom O'Sullivan and Dylan Geaney scored 14 points between them against St Bridgets.

In the All Ireland final against Mayo:
* Captain Paul Geaney did not play.
* Tom O' Sullivan was taken off at half time..
* Dylan Geaney was held scoreless.

All competitive county teams would have the same concerns but on the positive side, it gives a great opportunity to test trial/ develop more of the panel members in National League fixtures. A good quality extended panel is essential for success in the modern game.

A very disappointing Dublin SHC Final in a cold wet and windy Parnell Park earlier this evening.
The bookies got it right, and much like the Dublin SFC Final, the game was over at Half Time.

Crokes were 3pts to no score in less than 2 mins
1-03 to 1pt up in less than 3mins.
After 15mins it was 5 wides to 1 for Crokes, such was their dominance. They led 1-11 to 0-06 at HT.

Cuala actually won the toss but opted to play against the very strong wind in the first half. It backfired.
Cuala only scored 1 point from play in that first half.

Even against the wind in the 2nd half Crokes outscored Cuala, who only managed a further 6 points before full time.

Crokes won most of the dirty ball throughout.
They were hungrier, stronger, faster and fully deserved this win.
It is their 8th Dublin SHC title, in their 16th Final.
It finished 2-17 to 0-12 and was Kilmacud's best performance of the season. They restricted the Dalkey men to just Four points from play..!

Lucey and the two Hayes brothers were excellent, and Ronan top scored with 1-06. Congrats to Crokes.
