Replying To WanPintWin:  "That's a question with a fair bit of history. Technically the parish boundary is the river, which is just on the west side of the secondary school. It is odd though as it's essentially in the village. So people who are essentially in An Spidéal village, are on the other side of the boundary. To add a few more complications, Ros a Mhíl and Na Mine which are further west than Indreabhán village are actually part of An Spidéal parish. Most players from there used to play for An Spidéal in the past. Now they primarily play for MB. With that having changed there was an informal agreement that west of An Spidéal village could play for An Spidéal, if they wished. Others may have a different take on it, but that's a general overview."
The Gaza Strip -> that mile West of the bridge. Or maybe Northern Ireland where you can can hold either passport (but never both!)

Just to follow-up it actually shows just how tiny a parish An Spidéal actually is:
- Bearna na F: All the way to the top of the hill after/west-of Pádraicíns
- Spidéal start maybe 3-4km east of the village but esentially ends right at its own village or just after
- Maigh Cuillinn then starts maybe 2km N of the village and the sea cuts it off to the S

Actually a very small village and for a few years were senior football and intermediate hurling.

In fairness they seem to be punching above their weight for the size of the place and I believe they have a good cohort of dual players. Should be a tight intermediate final and dont see much seperating the teams but feel Spiddal have the better scoring forward O Laoi`s & O conghaile. Hard to look past Moola Cullen INC for the senior and i fancy them by 4+

This new club/county calendar is working great, but one disadvantage seems to be that the senior finals are just pitching into inclement weather conditions each season. Last year, it was horrible for the hurling. This week's football final looks like being played on a pitch 'watered' to the tune of 35mm of Saturday rain, and in 35mph west wind. That'll probably feel and look like 50mph wind in Pearce Stadium.
