Dublin SHC quarter-finals: Cuala v W/C Na Fianna v Jude's Crokes v Brigid's Lucan v Erin's Isle. Dublin SHC relegation play-offs: Boden v Naomh Barróg Vinnies v Faughs Crokes were impressive, and Lucan likewise. Crokes footballers are a different proposition with Mannion back… In the last game he scored an incredible 1-13 of their 1-19, including a total of five 2-pointers….! Such a shame he no longer wants to play Inter County Football. I am gonna go with Lucan for the Hurling. Hopefully they get over the line this year. Hurling I still go for Crokes." Super win for Castleknock over Crokes earlier. C'knock led from start to finish and fully deserved their win today. CK put a massive hit in on Mannion in the first couple of minutes which seemed to have an effect on Mannion who had 3 wides in a row after it. He did come into it more in the 2nd half and curled a sublime free from the sideline over the bar in the 2nd half. He top scored in the match and finished with 5pts but was clearly carrying an injury and was limping coming off the pitch at the end. FT Castleknock 0-17 v Crokes 0-14 In the 2nd game Clontarf nearly pulled off another surprise win today. They were leading at 50mins and level with 2minutes to go. Massive opportunity missed by them and I was defo not impressed by Boden. FT Clontarf 0-14 v Boden 0-17 A word on Jack today - he was flying by the Boden players and they couldn't keep up with him. His pick up on the run was a thing of beauty also, and it brought a wry smile to the onlooking Steo. Great value in the Neller today €10 for a Dublin SFC 1/4 Final double header. I have to say the DCB have a big problem on their hands…. €10 for a Dublin SFC 1/4 final double header which included 2 of the biggest clubs in the county and the attendance was shockingly low. The attendance at most Dublin club games is terrible but when you see 2 of the biggest clubs in a double header at that price for a ticket and still so few turn up… not good…!!! Results went as I expected today in the remaining 2x Dublin SFC 1/4 Finals:- Cuala 1-21 v Skerries 0-19 Thomas Davis 1-16 v Ballymun Kickhams 1-13 Fair play to Skerries who put up a hell of a battle v the Dalkey men. Only a point between the teams at half time but Cuala went 5 ahead early in the 2nd half and held out. Con top scored with 8pts. In the other game the scoreline flattered BK tbh. It was 1-09 to 4pts at HT for TD and the Mun got an injury time goal before the final whistle to put a bit of respectability on the scoreboard. Deano joint top scored with 8pts. But Thomas Davis are playing some serious football this year. I think it is great that either of them get to a final tbh. Hopefully Cuala make the Final. They bring amazing colour and support with them. And with Con on the team, they have the best player in the county playing for them.
