All star selectors only watch semis and final

1. All Ireland winning keeper - not Rory Beggan
2. Losing finalist corner back
3. Winners full back
4. closest losing semi finalists corner back
5. Winners wing back
6. Winner Centre back
7. Losing finalist Half back
8. Used to be utility player - but now, due to kick outs, has to be a proper midfielder - likely form non semi finalist
9. Winners midfielder
10. FF player who just didn't make ff positions
11. Utility player - player out of position to get him in the team
12. Best half forward from Champions
13. Corner forward from champions
14. Best ff from losing finalist
15. Best corner forward from losing semi finalist who doesn't already have a player on team

All Ireland champions = 7 - depending on winning margin
All Ireland R-up = 4
Best losing semi finalist = 2
Other losing semi finalist = 1
Token non semi finalist = 1

Westmeath should get at least one for winning a rare and unexpected Leinster title success.

And it would be great if a player or players were looked at from the Tailteann as well.

Is that last year's All Stars? Gavin White has zero chance of an All Star. Davy Byrne a very slim chance, McHugh from Galway close to zero chance, Ronan Wallace from Westmeath will get one, Kobe McDonald surely a cert also,

No chance . Only 5 from the 2 finalists? There was 11 the last 2 years. It wont be 11 this year but it will still be a lot more than 5 ( my guess is 8). I would say that as it stands there are 6 players from the finalists ( kobe , rod, hess, clifford x 2, foley) who are nailed on unless theres a final meltdown. The other 2 will come from the winners ( winning goalkeeper + callanan if mayo, geaney if kerry, maybe ). Where will the other 7 come from is anyone's guess but im expecting/hoping for a good spread, westmeath, louth, armagh, dublin, armagh, donegal, tyrone to get 1 each?

That team was posted between the Quarter-Finals and the Semi-Finals.

The Tailteann Cup has its own separate All Stars

You could have a shoo in for an All Star after a good year and then a poor All Ireland final will scupper the award. Likewise if you are having an average year ( Paudie Clifford last year) and you have a great game then you will get an All Star. So if Gavin White has a MOTM performance on Sunday week even though he has played very little he will get his award.
Diarmuid Murtagh probably deserves a gong but it will be difficult to fit him in .
Louth will get two
Dub will get Scully and
Westmeath will get one of the half back spots
The definite all Stars before the game at the moment are
Kobe, O Donoghue,and Hession (Mayo)
David Clifford, Breen, and the keeper

Even if Gavin White repeats last year's incredible display he won't get an All Star, he's only played two matches and Wallace will get one of the wing back spots.

How does Rory Beggan not get an all star. Best keeper in the country by a mile. Best keeper ever in my opinion. People will say cluxton but that's not true, put Beggan in that all time dublin team they only get better, Cluxton wouldn't have the same affect with Monaghan.

Moanghan don't have any big men yet our kickout retention is one of the best out there. Ruthless with any free within 60 yards. Moanghan are a pub team without him.

Wouldn't begrudge Livingston either. He has been some find, countless amount of saves at big moments for mayo this year.
