That just leaves the Loughrea lads so BnB

Well Munster have won everything in at least the last year: Senior, U20, Minor, Club, etc, it is high time to change this. For the sake of hurling you want more than one Province winning everything. Hon Galway.

Good luck on Sunday lads.

Galway are the next generation - I suspect their time is now.

Today is the day... all the training done, tactics gone through with the team. Is Rabbitte going to be left up top on his own, is Mannion going to vacat the 11 roll and drop deep... does this leave Galway wide open to be hit for 30 points from 50-60 yards... Roll on 3:30 and all the questions will be answered

Nothing to be gained from that experience at all.
A closer final would have stood to the younger players but a hammering like that?
As well off trying to forget about it.

Limerick are class but how many Galway players actually had good games. We kept carrying the ball around the middle and they were swarming us. Cathal Mannion alone must have been turned over 5 times.

Nothing to be gained from the excitement levels over the past fortnight, the thousands of Galway supporters who enjoyed the day, the pride those players brought to the county? What a miserable post to put up in the aftermath of a defeat to the greatest team of all time

Look, it's all heat of the moment reaction. Limerick are a class team - the best of all time. Galway had no answers to the skill/physicality/game management techniques they brought to bear. Senior v Junior.

You have to hand it Limerick. They blew Galway away today and that was with their foot off the gas for the last 15mins. Galways platform was stopped in its tracks with a ferocious Limerick middle third. Players that were previously breaking tackles and moving forward were sent backwards. I've said it in previous posts that we will never win an All Ireland with no centre forward. Hopefully leesons learned today and move on. It was still a great year. Thanks to the players.

Nothing heat of the moment about it. I genuinely think our players would be best quickly putting that debacle behind them and simply moving on if they can. Those kinds of defeats can destroy a teams confidence if they dwell on it too much.
Yer mans reply about the build up to the game had no relevance whatsoever to the point i made.

Surely Limerick were not class on the day, yes they are a class team but won easy today with an average performance

I think what anyone who didn't know it already learned today, is that Limerick are a far better side than we are for the last 9 seasons. That's why they've won 6 of the 9 all-irelands contested in that duration. Galway just found Limerick's combination of physical and athletic intensity too intense for their liking. This was in remarkable and marked contrast to Cork's physicality and intensity in the tackle at the semi-final stage, when Galway seemed to do as they pleased for large tracts of the contest. Yet, Cork seem to think they match up well v Limerick currently, although they did lose the NHL and Munster Finals of 2026 to them too of course.
