Replying To Seanfan:  "If Oisín stays away would ye upgrade Frankie Dolan??"
Only worry about Oisin is what might happen in Armagh. He has a year left on a 2 year agreement. Armagh is a bit uncertain, according to rumour and this Tailteann win and the manner of it, plus other performances over the past months won't have harmed his cv. I think this is Frankie's second year and we certainly are improving - or maturing.

I criticised Wicklow's forward play previously. I didn't feel Frankie Dolan was adding much to our forwards' performance, however, in recent months our forward play has improved significantly which is probably due to Frankie Dolan's input. Frankie, himself was a top class forward. Eoin Darcy, Oisin McGraynor, Christopher O'Brien have improved and have become more proficient.

I hope Oisin doesn't go anyway and sees out the last two years of his contract but Frankie would definitely be a consideration if Oisin moved on as I'm a believer in continuity for player and team development. As I say, I hope Oisin doesn't leave. Realistically I think the only county he'd leave Wicklow to join is Armagh. Kieran McGeeney has competed 12 years as Armagh manager which is a long time by today standards. I think Kieran will do another year in the Armagh job, there may be a vacancy thereafter. I'll be keeping my fingers and toes crossed that we can hold onto Oisin for at least another one year, hopefully two.

A fantastic result over the weekend for the panel and county in general. This team has been much maligned for being unable to hold a lead etc over recent years. However there ability to come from behind is truely unmatched. This does speak to a believe system McConville seems to have instilled in the camp.

The crowds of Wicklow People in Croke Park on Saturday was great to see. It was also fantastic to see the smiles on the people who have travelled to league games and championship games down through the years with little to no success (there numbers often very few). Promotion (as it always is) is paramount next year, and it would be great to see even a % of Saturdays support out shouting us on for the this.

Regarding McConville, as many will know here he does a Podcast with Tommy Niblock of Maggerafelt on BBC. On Sundays episode McConville was obviously worse for wear but said he has zero interest in the Armagh job. If hes to stay on it will be a decesion he comes to with his family (and I hope he does). In a worse case scenario where he doesnt, Mickey Harte would be worth having a chat with. He seen us in all our glory in the semi final.
