Would you be condoning the throwing of GPS's at players or what is it you're actually spluttering about?

I just thought your post was a wee bit snide considering you were advocating class grace and modesty just now. Sorry for any hurt feelings. Seniorleague (Galway) - Posts: 91 - 01/07/2026 18:45:08 2683511 Link 2 |

Kilkenny has 3 senior football provincial titles in a province of 12 counties. Please remind us again how many Leitrim has in a province of 5. The real irony is having a Leitrim man on a football thread. foreveryoung (USA) - Posts: 2591 - 01/07/2026 19:24:03 2683514 Link 3 |

For sure Joyce was a really brilliant footballer and he has done well as a manager but maybe he has brought Galway as far as he can.

So what? That just means Galway fouled more than Dublin. The free count is irrelevant. .Do you think the ref should give an even amount of frees to both teams? Some teams foul more than others. Dublin were the better team. Move on.

Says the lad with the USA as his county description. Ironic. As least we haven't given up on the football which is a lot to be said for other counties. Square_B (Leitrim) - Posts: 2205 - 02/07/2026 06:12:01 2683568 Link 3 |

Galway move on? Sure they are still aggrieved about 1983.

Tyrone didn't get the credit they deserved for winning the quarter final last year. Mayo took a lot of criticism for coming up short against Dublin in Croke Park. Now Galway, and LK is joining in. Bit of a recurring theme... legendzxix (Kerry) - Posts: 9918 - 02/07/2026 11:35:48 2683623 Link 0 |

What are people looking for him to say? Give them a pat on the back and tell them they're a great team and ready to challenge for Sam again next year ? They've badly underperformed outside Connacht considering the strength of their panel on paper.

2A winners in the Tailteann got a home game in the quarter finals. Galway as 2A winners got to play Dublin in Croke Park, Dublin's home league ground since 2011! Galway drew the short straw there. legendzxix (Kerry) - Posts: 9918 - 02/07/2026 12:10:20 2683639 Link 0 |

I do think there's an element of sticking the boot in there by Lee. Didn't think Galway were that bad on Sunday, black card/penalty obviously a huge turning point.

Galway got a load of pats on the back for beating Lietrim, Kildare and Westmeath at home - didn't do them much good. tirawleybaron (Mayo) - Posts: 1968 - 02/07/2026 12:33:06 2683646 Link 3 |

Galway were the media's choice as most likely to beat Kerry. Wasn't much evidence to back it up. Keegan just can't contain himself and the Mayo crowd going to Croker won't be flying Connacht flags or representing the rest of us. Best of luck to them. Lee is leaving himself wide open now if Louth beat Mayo in the semi next week. On Galway, surely it is time for a new man at the helm there…?! They have the squad to win Sam but flatter to deceive time and time again. And time is running out for some of their star players unfortunately… Fionn (Dublin) - Posts: 5131 - 02/07/2026 12:59:07 2683656 Link 0 |

It's a bit rich coming from him now. Whatever about the Galway team and their All Ireland chances, as least Padraic Joyce & John Divilly have their Celtic Crosses in their back pockets which is more to be said for Lee and the Mayo management team.

Keegan giving his opinion on Galway... pass. He's known for projecting his dislike of us throughout the years. I still remember the time he awarded Diarmuid Murtagh MOTM in the Connacht Final and later tweeted an apology saying it should be Damien Comer.

Every time Galway get criticised, the go‑to defence seems to be, "At least we won an All‑Ireland 25 years ago." If anyone outside Mayo said it, ye wouldn't be half as worked up. And whether people like it or not, there is truth in what Keegan said harsh as it might sound. He's operated at the very top level, so his opinion carries far more weight than someone firing off takes from behind a throwaway username pretending to be from Leitrim on a GAA forum.

Gotta relax a bit. Fair play to Mayo. They've got back on the horse. Let's see where they can finish up now. moros (Roscommon) - Posts: 1458 - 02/07/2026 14:45:06 2683684 Link 0 |
