Kerry All Ireland Champions 2026?

(Oldest Posts First)

Who can stop them? Phenomonial teams who will only get better. This team is better than Dubs 6 in a row.

Why do posters start threads where there is already an identical one to this? Sad.

The Kildare and Limerick posters love of Kerry is noteworthy also ;o)

With Armagh and Donegal gone now - no one stop Kerry, in all fairness.

More or less a fully fit squad and moving through the gears when it matters.

Looks like, they've timed their run well, the three week's off after the Donegal game helped them refocus.

No one left that can beat them imo. They'd have to self-implode like they did in Killarney against Donegal to not win Sam at this stage, can't see that happening twice in a season. Whatever you think about Kerry, they always learn from their mistakes.

As for being better than the 6-in-a-row Dubs, time will tell. They'll need 7-in-a-row to eclipse that. Looking around the country and there doesn't seem to be a team immediately ready to challenge them, but 5 more seasons after this one is a long time, although it is a possibility.

Knocking Kerry out next week, would be a very Tyrone thing to do. Especially a Jack O Connor Kerry team

They don't have the balance that the Dubs 6 in a row team had and there was a bit more predictability in results in their days. Betting companies, GAA pundits and online supporters are making Keery redhot favourites. The remaining 7 teams know Kerry are hot favourites but good coaching should boost their confidence. Tyrone with a returning to form Darragh Canavan won't fear them in Croke Park. Kerry favourites in the 2021 semi final too but Tyrone beat them and lifted the Sam. Dublin and Galway are still there. Armagh were poor by their standards on Saturday. The only thing that's predictable about the 2026 All Ireland Football championship is it's unpredictability.

Dublin 2015 to 2019, as good teams do, made every inch of home league ground advantage count. All round 3 winners at the weekend can relate to that, as can Kerry from the 2015 Munster final when the replay was also held in Killarney due to PuC being worked on.
To the victors go the spoils. Tyrone 21, Dublin 23 and Armagh 24 did what they had to do. From a Kerry point of view each of those were disappointing defeats, that would lower how the current team is compared to previous teams.

Maybe they don't but I think the door is opening a little for them in regards to going on a run of All-Ireland's.

At their best, they are a good bit ahead of the rest of the country at the moment. In last year's run in to their All-Ireland, no one laid a glove on them really. Beat Armagh by 8, Tyrone by 6 and Donegal by 10 in the final. So impressively comfortable, it was a bit of a damp squib as a end to the championship from a neutral point of view, but that's not Kerry's concern.

This year's championship could well be going the same direction, as great championship up until now, but it looks like Kerry will cruise through from here, and fair play to them for that.

Another era of dominance, coming close on the heels of a period of dominance by another team.

Think their toughest game might be the next one. If they win that they will win the AI pulling up.
