Replying To Pope_Benedict:  "Good draw. The big question now is will the blond lad take out Fitzy, before he gets off with the liverpool lass."
Good luck to him ,but Fitzy is already fading away in the rearview mirror for us ...more important business is at hand

Best draw we could have hoped for being honest. Westmeath are Leinster champions and they will be given due respect but if we can't beat a division 3 team we have no business in this championship.

Qualifying for QF beating 2 D3 teams.
In QF, they will be up against a team plying 3 weeks on the trot.

We went the hard way 3 years in a row if anyone deserves an easy draw this year it's us!

We haven't beaten them yet. Westmeath could turn us over. Leinster champions have won the most All-Irelands in the last 15 years, so we'll be up against it.

A fair point but still good scoring regardless they also put up 5 goals and around 20 points against meath

I'm sure alot of us thought meath was an 'easy' draw last year too but it didn't turn out that way

100%. They beat Meath who had quiet easily beaten us 11 months ago. They beat Dublin who beat us in Salthill last summer, before almost slipping up to Cavan. Our recent championship form is still very questionable. It is a great home draw for us but by no means can a win we taken for granted.

We got the easiest draw in the hat.......twice in a row. Whether we win, lose or draw v Westmeath, it's still irrefutably the easiest available draw.

I wouldn't say irrefutably. Very debatable whether Louth and Cork are better than Westmeath. I'd argue Westmeath are better than both at the moment, but not a lot in it. They dealt with Meath more easily than Cork did. They were also more impressive against Dublin than Louth.

No team will ever give up their home. advantage and could you blame them. There will be a decent crowd there. A lot will travel from Westmeath.. God help them if they don't allow plenty of time to park etc etc. No neutral will travel. Hopefully the day will be dry because it's a terrible spot on a wet day. Wind is almost guaranteed.
If it's a sunny day the prom will be packed which won't help parking either.

I think very few losers of 2A will make quarter finals. 2B winners look like they will be stronger.

Galway v Kerry quarter final in a monsoon with both sides kicking from everywhere ala 2008.

I can see it now.
