Go check out the video. It's all over social media. Just describing what I saw. Fairly simple really.

This is so wrong what's just happened. The ultimate aim of sanction against Ger Brennan is to preserve the protection of players on the pitch. Anyone getting involved with a player on the pitch should be severely sanctioned. This is complete an utter double standard. What an absolute cop out.

Jim didn't deserve a ban, and Ger Brennan didn't deserve a 12 week ban, that was ridiculously harsh.

The only reason Jim McGuinness escaped, was because if they banned him, they would be forced to dish out a multi-game ban to David Clifford also, and there was no chance of that a happening.

Not sure but I don't think it was too far away a month ago . A home draw would be fantastic if it could be on the new surface. Eunans did a fantastic job with the Down match but it wouldn't be ideal to have another championship game there (although you'd take it all day long rather than a treck to Cork or the like). Looking forward to seeing who else is in the pot with us after the weekend.

The painful truth for brayballer is that Dublin are no longer in their pomp, and if they were, there's no way Ger Brennan would have received the ban that he did.

There's a lot of football to be played yet. There is an intense rivalry between Donegal, Armagh and Kerry. I think what was left unsaid is that the GAA needs its big teams, players and characters involved at the business end of the season.

Dublin will be back, there's nothing surer. But at the present time, they are not really in the conversation when it comes to discussing realistic All Ireland contenders. I think that's the real source of angst for brayballer and some of the other anti-McGuinness/Donegal posters.

Ballyshannon might be an option as well. Letterkenny is a fantastic ground but we have a rotten record there. Win the next game and we are in the quarter finals.

I don't know what it is about letterkenny, everything about O'Donnell Park is great, but our record there is not good.
Compare it to Ballyshannon or Ballybofey and our record is exceptional. If we got a home draw and ballybofey was not available I would 100% go down the road to Ballyshannon, I know less people would see the game live but a higher chance of getting another day out due to our strong record there.

It should be about giving the team it's best chance and not about gate receipts. #Ballyshannonornowhere ;-), if Ballybofey is not available.

I think I'd be happier going to ballyshannon too. Pitch is excellent in both but facilities better in letterkenny. Like you say though, despite bucking the trend a bit in recent years it's been a godawful bogey ground for us. Ballyshannon got two games in the league (one in the sunshine and one in a monsoon) so I've a feeling Jim prefers it too. Does anyone know when the draw will be made?

Probably hit the nail on the head there. As they say, the only thing worse than being talked about is not being talked about. Also likely harder to get the head around for younger dub supporters who never really experienced the bad times before the good. They'll come to understand that it's the terrible days that make the highs even better when they eventually roll around again.

You do an awful lot of worrying about Donegal and Jim McGuinness.
You should put the phone away, buy yourself an ice cream and enjoy the good weather.
