Impossible question to answer but I imagine hundreds over the years. Irish parents living abroad having kids and then move back home. They are "foreign" kids

Ryan McMenamin, Seán Óg Ó hAilpín and Darran O'Sullivan were all born abroad. Right now, Stefan Okunbor and Boidu Sayeh are probably the most prominent foreign-born players.

Former Mayo manager and player James Horan was born in NZ.

Former Mayo footballer Padraig O Hora was born in England, moved to Ireland when he was 12.
Former Leitrim hurler Zak Moradi was born in Iraq, moved to Ireland when he was 11.

You will find others who played for London or New York or Lancashire or Warwickshire in recent years who weren't born in Ireland.

Both have lived here most of their lives. If they have children here will you consider those children Irish? What about their grandchildren?

You'd have to check his passport case I've heard he was born in Castlebar hospital.. And so what if he was born in Roscommon…it's unlikely any current or upcoming Rossies are born in Roscommon because there is no maternity hospital. Same goes for the Clare hurlers….

There have been foreign players almost from the beginning of the G.A.A. I think that Leonard McGrath of Galway may be the first and possibly the only duel All Ireland winner, hurling in 1923 and football 1925.He was born in Australia , he also played rugby despite the ban, he was also purported to line out as a "guest" player for other counties in an era when communication was much less than in later times.

There are a few lads won AIs in both codes. The great Teddy McCarthy won both in the same year in 1990.

Sorry I get you now, Leonard Mcgrath might well be the only foreign born player to win both.
