Insult, are you that fragile? Only fact is where that word is use and by who. You are a wum and try another thread to play that nonsense. The_analyser (Roscommon) - Posts: 4317 - 30/03/2026 17:07:05 2663995 Link 5 |

"first game their fans expected them to win of the campaign" Maybe I'm wrong but fairly sure Roscommon fans expected to win against Monaghan. The idea of a great chance of reaching the final comes from where exactly? Had they beaten Dublin then the same effort and determination wouldn't be put in to beat Donegal, that win came mainly from the reaction of the defeat to Dublin. The final table didn't lie you need to focus on that than whataboutery. Gaa_lover (USA) - Posts: 3877 - 30/03/2026 17:15:57 2663998 Link 1 |

I live in Roscommon. I have Roscommon children. Pretty much everyone i know here was excited about the Dublin game and expected to win. They didnt. They flopped badly. They were in a great position and they failed to deliver at home. Those are facts. Now who's fragile....

Well done to our underage teams. Good progress but Ros teams and players are regularly shining in Schools, College's and Varsity competitions. Ultimately all about development and pathways. Let the young players enjoy and express themselves. And I praise all players on Connacht. The better the standards the better the competition for all. moros (Roscommon) - Posts: 1315 - 30/03/2026 17:56:51 2664007 Link 0 |

On the money. Each Division one game especially the latter stages takes on a life of it's own. Certain matches the need is greater for one team over the other and if good enough they'll win. That's what happened with Dublin beating Roscommon and then Roscommon beating Donegal. Seeing that Tadgh likes facts here are three. 1) A win against Dublin would not have put us into a final as we would still require a result in MacHale Park and we haven't got a positive league result in that venue since the mid 80s. 2) before the league started we were 1/10 to get relegated so that meant the bookies and their pundits were expecting us to finish bottom with no win. 3. We finished 4th with 4 wins and 8 points far exceeding pre-league predictions and expectations The_analyser (Roscommon) - Posts: 4317 - 30/03/2026 22:52:25 2664049 Link 1 |
