Yesterday's results prove that it is highly unlikely that anyone outside of 'big four' in Leinster will be in contention for the qualification spots.
Looking at the fixtures I imagine that home advantage could be huge factor and likely to go right down to the last day again. Looking forward to it, Plenty there to attract good crowds too,

Replying To fathermurphy: "Wasn't much to talk about yesterday, kildare stood back, got a taste and looked at us, 4 weeks time on a tight pitch in Newbridge we won't know what hit us with the intensity, this game will destine our championship, im really worried over yesterday's match, Wexford will be hot favourites now, Kildares aim is to stay up and are going to target wexford and offaly, Kildares Dublin game will come too soon after the wexford game .Kildare strongly believe they still can beat us, watch out Wexford" So much positivity....
A 21-point beating will do wonders for Kildare's confidence

Think we're in a better place now than we were at the start of the league and the hope would be that we start the Championship in a better place than where we are now
Didn't learn much yesterday but at least we won comprehensively, it's the sort of thing we should be doing in that situation. We weren't doing that against Antrim, Down, or Carlow so yesterday represented progress on that front. Obviously must qualify that by saying we probably had a stronger starting team out yesterday than in the first few games, had Chin back plus a few of the younger players are a little bit more experienced now than they were at the start of the league. Also have to qualify the above statement by saying those first three games weren't dead rubbers so the other teams brought more intensity to it than what Kildare did yesterday, it was like unopposed shooting practice yesterday, we were able to do whatever we wanted which won't be the case in Newbridge
But at least we did put up a huge score and didn't give away much at the same time, don't think we showed our hand but we did as much yesterday as could have been reasonably expected

Replying To ElGranSenor: "Hard to know what to make of that, Kildare's intensity levels had been very impressive all league but there was zero intensity in that game, Kildare will probably bring massive intensity in Newbridge so it's important not to be complacent and think that's their level. They have a few to come back but we have as many to come back, they certainly weren't showing their hand by keeping Curtin on the bench and by only bringing on Cian Boran in the second half and playing him in midfield when he'll be starting at centre-back against us in Newbridge
Rowley got four points from play which was good going considering he still needs to work on his S&C, ends up on the ground too often. Still showed a lot of promise though and he has massive potential, just need to give him time to develop. Thought Diarmuid O'Leary had a good game too, could maybe play himself into contention for the starting Championship team
Jack Redmond should be in the starting team come Championship IMO, gives us a bit of size. Some may disagree strongly but I do think there is a lot of good talent in the county between the ages of 21 and 24, think the quality is similar to the U21 teams we had from 2013 to 2015. I know some will think that's nonsense but Leinster U21 was a lot weaker back then and IMO, we were as close to winning an AI U20 in 2022 and 2023 as we were to winning an AI U21 in 2013, 2014, or 2015. Only real problem with these young players is that not many of them are on the big side, that's why Redmond could be key for us going forward
Thought Cillian Byrne did well when he came on, things just didn't work out for Cian though, looked like his confidence was shot a bit, hopefully he's able to get it back soon enough because we know he is capable of being a very good player at this level. Simon Roche good again although is capable of better and was a bit inaccurate at times
Can't see Chin in midfield come Championship, would say that was just to get him fully up to speed and to not show our hand for the Newbridge game. Hard to evaluate some of the backs because Kildare were so poor, didn't really put us under any real pressure so didn't learn too much about our full-back-line defensively" I imagine if all the returning lads are fully fit our back 6 is nailed on. Shiner, Jippo, Dooley Patsy, Damo, Foley All are proven Championship players.

Replying To Magpie2: "It was a walk in the park once the lads got going. Kildare were all at sea for the full 2nd half. As usual it took us a while to start dominating and boy we sure tore them apart. We all know that Newbridge will be less easy as the lilywhites always play better on home soil. When we meet again in a few weeks we should be able to get the win and kick start our season. Of course with Wexford you simply don't know what you'll get as the recent games against weaker opposition proves. We will be stronger come April with hopefully the return of Jippo, Shane Reck and Jacko. With Chin and Jacko and Jack Redmond making up half of our front men it will provide size and bulk which was sadly lacking so far this year. Obviously they were resting Kevin Foley yesterday, and rightly so. I am sure he will be all the better for the rest he surely needs. Can Jack Redmond become our target man up front? Bagging 3.03 was phenomenal even allowing for the poor opposition so let's hope he can keep hitting the net in the tougher games to come. To sum up. Good to get the big result but we can't afford to get carried away and become complacent. Kilkenny, Galway and Dublin will all be very difficult games to win and then we will see exactly where we are." Id play Jack 14 if I was Rossiter. But Im not..... Front 6- Jacko, Roche, Chinner Cian Byrne, Redmond, Foley

Not sure how you can read anything negative into it after yesterday. Yesterday was completely irrelevant.

Replying To hunting: "Happy with yesterday, it's great to see so many good young lads getting game time(only disappointed we didnt see Eoin Whelan throughout the league). No complacency now in 4 weeks time, keith and the players must know that Kildare will be a completely different team in Newbridge. But if we show up and play to our potential we are a better team. Hopefully minors and under 20 will have a good year and the seniors at least beat offaly and kildare in the championship and have a right rattle off the other 3." Agree about Whelan

Niall Murphy, Higgins, Rowley, Cillian Byrne, James Byrne, Tucker, Wickham, Dempsey, Carley, Darren Codd, David Codd, Banville, O'Leary, Clarke all could be decent come Newbridge. All 28 or less. Some only 20. Id start Richie and Hearne midfield.

Won four games, drew one, lost one, missed out on promotion on score difference, blooded in a lot of young players, still have Jippo, Cian Molloy, Jacko, and Shane Reck to come back
I suppose that's the glass half-full perspective
We've a young team now and we'll still have a young team next year, think this league will stand to a lot of the young players in the long-term although maybe not this year as far as Championship goes. Realistically, it'll be 2028 when we see the younger players come into their prime (2027 probably a year too soon)
In 2028, we'll have the following players no older than 26….
26: Cian Molloy, Richie Lawlor, Eoin Ryan, David Codd, Tomás Kinsella 25: Cian Byrne, Conor Foley, Darragh Carley, Corey Byrne-Dunbar, Diarmuid O'Leary, Jack Redmond, Oisín Pepper 24: Eoin Whelan, Éamon Wickham, Darragh Kehoe, Luke Codd 23: Simon Roche, Seán Rowley, Cillian Byrne, Pádraig Jones 22: Ciarán Doyle, Charlie Roark, Charlie Mooney 21: Jack Nolan, Seán Hyland, Ryan Donohoe 20: Seán O'Brien, Darragh Ryan, Peter Wickham
May have the ages on some wrong and others may be more speculative than anything else
But I do think there's a core of a good team there
