Lovely evening for the start of the leagues please and thank you. Here's hoping for a competitive campaign and wishing all the teams best of luck. Thanks so much.

They did their best I'm sure. All we can ask for. You're up against either one of galway and mayo, the big two in the province and it is a tough ask

Made it to the Allen Gaels v mohill game there this evening. Probably what you expect from the first game of the year, sloppy play and heavy pitches. Allen Gaels shooting and ability to keep possession was shocking poor. Mohill was very clinical in attack with Allen Gaels turning over some nice ball in defence. Also from going by the guy next to me Allen Gaels were missing 7 starting players from last years final. Any other reports from the other games?

Was in aughawillan for the Fenagh game. Fenagh just about scraped a win but it was a dreadful game. Looks like the fena conveyer belt of talent is drying up

The weather is up alright. We'll be heading to the big soon and talking about the championship. Great times !

It would hardly be anything to do with them having 7 regular starters on county duty….
It was certainly a low-scoring affair.

Wasn't at Fenagh and Aughawillian but heard there was a melee and Ciaran Gilheaney got a straight red? Must have been a awful brawl because Mulhern wouldn't be Ref that would issue cards that handy

Regardless if it's a death rubber for us. Loosing by 15 points 20mins into 2nd half in division 4 game is not good at all.

Any optimism gained from last week well and truly eroded today, an absolutely shocking display after a very promising start , where do we go from here, continues our trend under Poacher of not being able to string consistent performances together. Shocking to be losing a division 4 game by 23 points. Congratulations to Carlow and Longford

Time for change. 2 years and zero progress. You cannot be getting beat by 24 pints in division 4.

The signs were there after the London and Waterford games that things weren't great.

On the other hand if you look at the four league tables you will see div 4 was by far the most competitive league, not that that is much consolation.

You won't get promoted losing four games.

Our points average was terrible

Can we realistically expect progress by tearing the thing up and starting again?

Can't build a house roof first.

Look how long it's taken London to become competitive under Maher.

Co Board wanted rid of McGeeney only for club delegates to back him at a meeting and they went and won Sam.

Today's performance was abject by all means but Longford were one point away from being in Div 4 for 2027 and more moans about how they're going nowhere under Solan.

Look at what Wexford have done today, back to back promotions, they are a team we would have traditionally never been afraid of, home or away.

Disappointing today but reactionary chat doesn't do any good.

Far more cause to be alarmist this day next week by the time the U20s and U17s play again next week. Both campaigns will be sobering.
