I know I taught the same but its fine, I've got more top level county medals at underage and adult than any Taghmon man in history unless he transferred to another club. If I end up back in Wexford some day, I'll be back to my own club anyway and I'll get my coaching advice there from those who did it at the top level.

Im not sure this is correct. I suppose it depends on what you call recruitment. They dont give bonus points to your cao application. You have to get the required number of CAO points and meet the minimum requirements for that course to study in UL. It is a very attractive college to study in if you are an elite athlete. They have excellent facilities and coaches but you have to get in getting the same cao cao points forvyour course as everyone else. Other colleges offer up to 50 bonus points in the cao but not UL. Its popular because of its location, facilities, courses and success.

Fairly harsh on a man doing all he can to try improve our fortunes . Whilst you are out of the country there are many still here with a possible higher hurling pedigree than the above said man but dont give much or anything to the game after they retire. Whilst he loves and breathes it . Loads lads out there will say sure I ve forgotten more than those coaches will ever know . Still theres No point in them keeping it a secret go out and spread the word rather than be a negative . Formertownie (Wexford) - Posts: 538 - 16/02/2026 18:22:08 2656863 Link 2 |
