Think the Dublin game in a fortnight was the agreed return point. O'Toole obviously felt he was in right headspace to go back last week having played less football during the club season. Can't imagine the Brigid's lads will be back? Regardless, when we were at our strongest in the last 15 years the Hyde has been difficult for us. I think Roscommon -2 at 11/10 is as close to a 'good thing' bet you'll get all weekend. ConyersHill04 (Monaghan) - Posts: 39 - 29/01/2026 14:02:22 2653915 Link 1 |

Rory Beggan back for Roscommon. That's 4-6 points on its own MonaghanMan44life (Monaghan) - Posts: 143 - 29/01/2026 14:48:28 2653921 Link 0 |

If Roscommon give away stupid frees outside the arc then beggan may swing the game …although I noticed he found it tough getting back to his goal vs Bridget's, can see Roscommon catching him once or twice if he joins the attack

Unconfirmed, but would be before the agreed return point.

Looking to get the thoughts ahead of Sunday, how we feeling? I personally won't make it as i'm not paying to watch them after last week. Could get ugly very quickly, will be listening to NR Sound with one ear closed i imagine. Any new men in? Farneyfan1916 (Monaghan) - Posts: 10 - 30/01/2026 09:25:54 2653996 Link 0 |

It's not a debate. MOTM in co final and Ulster club competition. The other 2.. average club players. The 2 Scotstown men along with another 2/3 will be starters and main players in 2/3 years whilst the others will be looking over the fence

Ill be there to support as the Hyde not far from athlone where im headed for weekend. That team wouldn't win a game in div 3 let alone div 1. One big worry I have is even with players back the superior ability we showed in div 2 to win games wont be material in div 1 as dont see beggan getting freedom of park v div 1 teams and can see our smaller forwards just being swallowed up by div 1 defences. We definitely coukd do with a few bigger men throughout the field.

Beggan will start. That team sheet isn't worth the paper it's written on.

I know it was nice to win division 2, but another year there wouldn't of done us any harm. Anyway we'll support the team no matter what
