Replying To gaa.88:  "It was a very good game of football and although its a cliche, no team deserved to lose.It was a great battle between two fine teams.Well done Dingle and tough luck St.Brigids.Some great displays today from many players but special mention to Conor Hand and Tom O Sullivan."
Fallon was imo the best player on the pitch today 1-6 from wing back and was brilliant in defense

I also forgot to mention the contribution that TG4 make to these games. It really is thrilling commentary and coverage and no nonsense talk. The commentators and presenter really bring these games to life and it is an experience to listen and watch even though I understand everything being said.

Daingean were the best team from first day once they broke Kerry hoodoo. Would have won it last year too other than mad melt down v Kilarney Crokes.

Great team. Would love to be in Tigh Ua Flatharta anocht.

Hats off to Dingle. The county quarter final against West Kerry was a good old fashioned war. They had to dig out results then against Mid Kerry, Austin Stacks, Barrs, Boden and Brigids. Incredible drama. The club football championships have been fantastic.

Saw a video online of a pub in Cornafulla with young gentleman celebrating wildly when Dingle scored the winner today, seemed a poor showing thoughts on this

Yes well done to Dingle. Magical year for them! Hard luck to Brigids, hopefully they make it back out of Roscommon and Connacht to give it another lash next year.

Great passion in Croke Park yesterday.
This isn't an anti-Dublin comment. These occasions are better without Dublin teams. Dublin super clubs are just a bit soulless. Just not the same genuine ingredients of blood, sweat and tears. That's more of a Leinster matter anyway. The Leinster challenge never materialised.
The score by Brigids to equalise at the end of normal time was superb. Dingle after going 3 down in extra time had to dig deep again. The club championships since the start of August have been absolutely brilliant!

I agree with you and my response is not anti Dublin either as its amazing to see GAA to the forefront in a capital city where so many other sports are played. The big Dublin clubs have the same core of supporters that every rural club has and are as equally fanatic about their club however they have become victims of massive population increase and domestic migration and the rural parish is much more connected than that of an urban one. I had to explain to a man yesterday with no interest in the GAA they they were 2 parishes playing in Croke Park yesterday and he literally couldn't believe it!!. An earlier poster mentioned the drudgery of the national league (that nobody wants to win) and for entertainment, passion and raw guts I would take the parishes (clubs) playing any day of the week. The new rulesate definitely a factor and who knows now that they well bedded in we may get an exciting league campaign.

Brigids had 48% shooting efficiency on their 35 shots way down on the % in previous games.

On kick outs.

Brigids won 21 of their own and lost 7

Dingle won 12 of their kick outs and lost 11

So 32 v 19 in favour of Brigids.

You can have all the ball you want but need to translate into scores.
A failing with a lot of Ros teams in recent times.

That ties with my impression while watching it, if even more dominant by Brigid's around the middle than I thought. While Mark O'Connor had some very big moments, I thought Cunnane was the best midfielder on show across the full 80+ minutes. He had a powerful game.
I mentioned it yesterday, but the shots dropped short were the real killer. It gave posession back to An Daingean and they made hay off it. They wouldn't have got possession as easily from their own kickout, if those shots had gone wide. I think it was 7 points they got directly from shots which Brigid's dropped into the goalie.
I thought Brigid's were marginally the better team overall, in terms of winning the midfield battle and creating more scoring chances.
On a side note, this unwritten rule of the man of the match having to be from the winning team has to stop. Ruaidhrí Fallon was clearly the outstanding player on the pitch yesterday. While plenty others had big games, Tom O'Sullivan, Dylan Geaney and Conor Hand, Fallon was the by a decent amount the most impressive performer on the day. A man of the match award in an All-Ireland final would have been some personal consolation at least, and fully deserved.

I'd say last year's winners Cuala would have as many, if not more Irish speakers on their team than An Daingean. Sleacht Néill another club doing mighty work to promote the Irish language, outside of the recognised Gaeltacht.
