Do you have any idea of how busy a Centre of Excellence can be on any given evening?
During peak inter-county season (i.e. February or March up to May), it's not unusual for there to be six or even more squads at our own COE here in Wexford at the same time, between hurling, football, camogie, LGFA, minor, U20, and senior.
If we were sharing a facility with Kilkenny and Waterford and they both had four or more squads wanting to train on the same evening too.....just how big would the facility have to be?
Replying To DundalkGael: "Pretty sure the astro pitch can't be used anymore. It's needs replaced
It wasn't in great shape and a few years back, they used it as a car park for when Championship Games were in Darver which finished it off
It's still remarkable they play club championship games (Intermediate final replay being the last on) in Darver
For anyone with mobility issues it's horrendous, and considering Haggardstown, Castlebellingham and Ardee are all a few mins away from it and ideal for club games it always amazes me when games are there. Players hate it too"
It's the coldest place in Louth even in the middle of the summer.
