All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship 2025

Kilkenny are a hurling legend and that is why they lead with titles. However even though a close game this team is not near their standard. Out muscled and turned over. Out goaled which is their trade mark. Out desired that once they got ahead of you went for the jugular and killed you off. Out coached as it was three goals later before they
realized what Tipp were doing. Pulling the best full back in the game out the field and sending players in around the back.
The rest of Leinster spend too much time admiring them with the exception of Wexford when they have the horses no fear. The Munster teams respect them but not in awe of them.
Incidentally the miss use of cards goes on. One player dismissed when his stick made minor contact after he had passed out his opponent and making zero intent to hit him. The other was a slap down on the head of all places and considered an accident. Beggars belief.

Getting the score wrong by RTE and inside the stadium is a major error . Kilkenny would be fully justified in looking for a replay .

Even with Limerick and Clare out of it, we still end up with a second Munster Final. That the state of hurling nowadays.

Replying To CTGAA10:  "Not sure but if he does miss out it's going to be very tough on the young fella..the fact it's a 2nd sending off might be a problem..2nd yellow was probably harsh but he had no hope of getting ball and made it easy for ref..I hope he gets to play unit..
A bigger question for me is how they missed the deegan incident, specially linesman who was next to it..for me that was a red not a 2nd yellow..
If scoreboard in croke park said it was a 3 point lead then an explanation is needed..kk had chances to put ball over but were going for what they thought was needed,a goal..if kk had got a goal and won by a point according to official score then how was it going to be explained??
Official score given as 4-20 to 30 points.."
Absolute amateur hour at the end with the wrong score line.

The Cats had plenty of time and opportunity to get 2x 1pt scores, to draw the game.
Of course appearing to be losing by 3pts would have affected their mindset with how they attacked near the end.
I would be fuming if I were them.

Not acceptable.

As for the Deegan incident - straight Red all day long and right in front of the official - bonkers.

I wasn't paying attention to the scoreboard on RTE coverage and couldnt understand why Kilkenny were trying to work the ball in and not taking the point chances they had around the 72nd minute mark, with plenty of time to get another . If the scoreboard was wrong in Croke park too it definetely impacted KK's last attacks.

Well done Tipp - some result for them. 4-20 to 0-30
To score 4 goals v Kilkenny and play for 16 minutes, including injury time, with only 14 men was some effort.
The Cats had goal chances but after scoring 30pts, will feel they left this behind them.
Hope McCarthy gets to play in the Final but having been sent off for a 2nd time, it might be difficult....

Tipp looking for their 29th All Ireland Hurling title and first since 2019.
Cork looking for their 31st All Ireland and first for the Rebels in 2 decades.
The Cats of Kilkenny out in front on 36 titles.

I still think it is Cork's All Ireland to lose tbh.
No offence to Tipp but I really hope Cork win it.

How? Referee not responsible for RTE and scoreboard operator making howlers. Umpire clearly signaled a wide.

I think they will give Cork a much tougher game than Kilkenny would and all the pressure is going to be on Cork.

Look it, this is not a dig on Leinster hurling, but regardless of whether or not Munster teams are better it's not helping Leinster teams and especially Kilkenny to come into the AI series without the kind tough games that Munster teams are getting.
And the gap is growing

Regardless of who wins the AI next year Munster is going to be a tougher than ever."
Dont agree with massive gap betwern munster and leinster only for the unforced errors kk made to give away the goals i actually thought kk were the better team.Would they have bet Cork not a hope will Tipp not a hope either im afraid.

A 1st ever Cork v Tipp All Ireland Senior Hurling Final.
Gonna be some build up to it.

Even though I was thrilled with the 1/4 Final result, I reckon the Limerick lads will be kicking themselves still, about not making the Final.

It is going to take a hell of an effort from Tipp to get close to Cork in a couple of weeks imo.
But stranger things have happened, so you never know.

Look the score board thing is terrible and I might have a little leaning towards the cats (family) but the goal was worthy of winning any game. Kilkenny had an extra man when they should not. If Kilkenny won should it be replayed because it should have been 14 on 14..Move on the best team on the day won.

I be my usual broken record. All cards should be reviewed. Especially red. Now they will get up on their hind legs and deny this young Tipp player a chance to play in the final. We have seen the ref against us giving a warning in his little black book to a player on a yellow. It's called flavour of the day.

Not too sure about that.

Dublin full value for their win over Limerick.

Kilkenny were unlucky today to be honest. In fairness to Tipp goals win games but Kilkenny were probably the better side if not for them panicking and going for goal a little early.

Tipp reminded me of 19 semi final. To their credit found a way to grind out a result against a team that was superior to them.
