You make absolutely no sense as usual.

Galway and Donegal equally just got over the 'worst Mayo team in 20 years" yet they would eat us alive?

Anyway, enjoy your summer, at least you'll have Wimbledon to keep you entertained soon.

A kick out a few seconds after a score and it begins contested by all a forwards is fairly standard I think.

Jim was dead right. The location was unfair. We might not win it, but we've a small chance.

Replying To D.Hyde:  "If they held on for 10 seconds, Boland doesn't find himself in that space. In my opinion there was only 2 or 3 players Mayo wanted on the end of it to take the shot..Boland, ROD..Mayo's biggest problem the last few years has been a lack of scorers, too many not willing or wanting to back themselves to score"
Yea, going for the score wasn't the issue, switching off very briefly for the kick out was unfortunately.

They should have pushed on and not been behind at that point looking for an equaliser so close to the hooter. Poor game management.

Because the brutal truth is there was no outstanding team at any point in that 20 years, no All Ireland winner to compare with. All Mayo teams in that time have battled hard and shown excellent displays but this team have come up short the same as many a team that went before them. Galway won't eat us alive, if we lose to anyone it'll be narrowly."
While I totally disagree that Galway would "eat Donegal alive" and it's smacks of a poor loser I do agree that the current Mayo team is a long way behind the Mayo team of circa 2016, with Keegan, Boyle, Higgins, Parsons, C O' Connor, Moran etc. The fact that they came out the wrong side of tight games against Dublin (a Dublin team that often had the likes of McManaman, McAuley, Brogan, Connolly etc on the bench!) doesn't mean the Mayo of that time were not one of the best squads of the last 20 years.

Man up and take your beating. Mayo were unlucky. Donegal keeper could have kicked the ball out of play to guarantee 2nd place but they went for the win, not many teams would have. Donegal mightn't win the All Ireland but Mayo definitely won't.

Jim was spot on about the venue, awful long journey for our supporters, nothing wrong with the pitch but it's practically a home game for Mayo were you haven't lost a game in a long time, granted most of those games were against Roscommon lol.
You can't say who'll be winning the All Ireland at this stage but we know who won't.
A lot for us will depend on who we draw tomorrow, we have played so hard much football already. We have the players capable of winning Sam if we stay injury free, it's a great Championship, just a pity it's so rushed.
Tough on the supporters pockets too with games coming thick and fast,
Mayo fans haven't that problem anymore though, Winter well.

There would have a lot of complaining on here if the game was fixed for Omagh.

Well lad I'm involved in coaching club football in mayo and I'll tell you the talent right now in mayo is the worst in my lifetime. So good luck to Jim and Donegal but in my honest opinion Sam won't be in the hills this year…if I'm wrong then I'll happily admit it.

Typical Mayo way to lose a game. Laughing stock of the country yet again. Until we find a ruthless steak we will for ever be stuck in "the house of pain"

I like many other lot my father recently..never seen Mayo win Sam. Not good enough considering the amount of finals we get to…heartbreaking

Mayo's biggest problem for as long as I can remember is a lack of enough top class forwards, Galway have those types of forwards for example, fellas who can just take on their man and flip the game their way at vital stages in a game.

31 teams don't get to win an All Ireland every year.

One of things about Mayo is this sense of entitlement towards one.

A 'traditional' county and such

You've no more right to a Sam Maguire than generations of great Fermanagh gaa folk say.

Maybe drop the feeling sorry yourselves routine. It's not more heartbreaking for you than for anyone else.

When you win one, it's cause you deserved it.

Mayo very very unlucky today, patton kicking the ball back into play with seconds left was madness, both teams qualifying....it was a crazy risk that worked for him this time but if mayo had have got t ball and kicked the winner...how could he have defended himself after. Anyway it worked out for him. Hard luck to mayo, but their day will come, keep the head up.

Rinse and repeat from the Dublin that cost you a QF last year."
Kickout doesn't look to have been knocked on, Donegal player doesn't touch it and ball bounces. Bit different to Dublin last year. Defence was set following the free, Cluxton's lockout was won cleanly. Not beating Derry in normal time last year and losing to Cavan much bigger factors.

As Jim said, it just wouldn't happen. Im sure Omagh wasn't even a consideration but for some strange reason Roscommon seemed totally natural to the powers that be. Anyway, we got the job done and we move on. Hopefully no new injuries as of this morning and a decent draw given we are about to play our 8th game..

Sure you wanted the game in Cavan hardly fair to Mayo either. You can hardly calm Rossie land a home game for us that's quite insulting !

Thought you were meant to beat us out the gate by half time . You are not that good and won't be winning Sam. It will go to Armagh again .

You can't even be graceful after winning a match and knocking us out by saying hard luck to mayo . No you have to moan about the venue again!

We are a young team and will be better next year with Durcan having more game time & Tommy C back also hearing Oisin Mullin will be back.

Not going to say best of luck to you lot after McGuiness and your comments on here up Armagh !
